What would be a good family friendly beach vacation? We are a family of 4 with a 5 year old and a 1 year old we are looking for a family friendly getaway this summer at the beach. We have been looking at St. Pete, The Bahamas, The Keys and a little closer to home around Destin FL. We are looking for something straight outta the movies with great views and fun things to explore with the kids…any suggestions?

Check out the Outer Banks (OBX) or Myrtle Beach area. Personally I love going to Hilton Head, NC it’s a great beach town and there are great places to golf. My family and I go down every year. It’s def one of those places where you can bring your family and not worry about the party scene. Just some nice r & r.
You’ve got some good suggestions. My personal favorites are: St. Simon Island – first pick. Home of Davis Love and some of the best golfing on the east coast! The best place to stay is the Ocean Lodge. It’s fabulous!! http://www.oceanlodgessi.com/ Myrtle Beach You can’t go wrong with either one!
If you have children try Florida. It has Daytona, Cocoa Beach, and New Smyrna around the Central Florida Areas all within about an hour of each other. There are great attractions for the kids and family oriented things to do.things

My fiance and i want to go on vacation for about a week this december… we were looking into hawaii but it seems like it would be expensive to stay there (not the travel package, just the food and activities). if anyone has any experience in hawaii or a better suggestion, any input would be great. we just want to relax and be lazy somewhere with a great beach, preferably somewhere with a bar that is not too expensive to eat/do stuff. thanks : ) ps we are 21 and 23 years old

Where is a good place for an inexpensive Mexican beach vacation? I am trying to plan a trip for my mother and myself, and I will be flying out of Memphis, and she will be flying out of Dallas. We want to go to the beach out of the country, so we figured that Mexico would be a relatively inexpensive place. Do you have any ideas on beach cities there that are less expensive to fly into and less expensive to stay in? Thanks so much!!
i know this isent in mexico, but jamaica is wicked cheap
A lot of Mexico is on sale right now. The overblown media stories reduced the number of people going to Mexico so the resorts and airlines are offering great deals. The best thing to do is check prices on a lot of destinations and resorts. If you book before the end of August and travel before mid December, you will often get better pricing. The flights to Cancun are really cheap right now. You can find good deals at the resorts in Cancun or go just south of Cancun to find some less crowded areas. Playa del Carmen is a nice little town with a long road full of shopping, restaurants, and bars. Cozumel is a great place if you are interested in snorkeling or scuba diving. The flights to the west coast of Mexico will probably be a little more expensive, but Puerto Vallarta is worth pricing out to see what you can find. Enjoy your vacation!

The perfect place is Ixtapa Zihuatanejo, is a cheap and fun. Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo is located southwest of Mexico City in the coastline of the State of Guerrero, in the area know as The Golden Pacific which is part of the Mexican Riviera. animation * If you’ll like to know the exact location of our little paradise on earth… it is 101.33 degrees West (meridian) and 17.38 degrees North (parallel). * We are on Mexico’s Coastal-Highway MEX-200, at 250 kms. (156 miles) north of Acapulco and 115 kms. (72 miles) south of Lazaro Cardenas, Michoacan. It is only a 35 minutes plane ride from Mexico City. map
